The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (a non-profit corporation)
was incorporated in May of 1965.
The corporate by-laws included
the purpose of the Chamber in Section 2.
The Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is organized to advance
the general welfare and prosperity of the Lincoln area so that
its citizens and all areas of its business community shall prosper.
All necessary means of promotion shall be provided and particular
attention and emphasis shall be given to the economic, civil,
commercial, industrial, cultural and educational interest of
the area. The word area is defined in the by-laws as:
the city of Lincoln, Missouri and the rural trade area surrounding
Lincoln.
